Philip Lloyd Helton, a 78-year-old Trenton resident, died on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020 at a St. Joseph hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 17, 2020 at Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany. Burial will follow in Springer Cemetery at Gilman City.
A family visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Helton was born on April 24, 1941 in Trenton, the son of Benjamin Lloyd and Kathryn Marie Renfro Helton.
He was married on Dec. 29, 1989 in Oklahoma City, OK to Leah Cabanalan, who survives of the home.
He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Gilman City.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Rhonda; a son, Kevin; brothers, Deen Helton, James Helton and Robert Helton, all of Gilman City, David Helton of Pioneer, CA, Richard Helton of Fridley, MN and Mark Helton, Bowie, TX; sisters, Beverly Helton of New Meadow, ID and Anne Dunn of Ponte Verde, FL; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dwight Wesley and Steven Helton; and his dog, Avon.
