Judge Steven D. Hudson
Raul R. Barraza, Trenton, waived his preliminary hearing and had his case bound over to the Circuit Division on a charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated, a class D felony. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 12.
Pierre O. Celestine, Chicago, IL, waived his preliminary hearing and had his case bound over to the Circuit Division on charges of fraudulently attempting to obtain a controlled substance, a class E felony, and possession of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid of 10 grams or less-prior drug offense, a class A misdemeanor. He is scheduled to appear in court March 12.
Mary F. Jones, Dawn, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $70.50 and $74.50 costs.
Kaleb W. Moulin, Trenton, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of operating a vehicle with defective equipment and was fined $200.50 and $74.50 costs.
Heather R. Squires, Des Moines, IA, pleaded guilty to speeding, a class C misdemeanor, and was fined $60.50 and $74.50 costs.
Tracy C. Summers, Trenton, pleaded guilty to failing to register a motor vehicle, a class C misdemeanor, and was fined $50.50 and $74.50 costs.
George Almond, Chicago, IL, waived his preliminary hearing and had his case bound over to the Circuit Division on a class E felony charge of fraudulently attempting to obtain a controlled substance. He is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 13.
Terry L. Duncan, Spickard, waived formal arraignment and pleaded guilty to violating a protection order for an adult, a class A misdemeanor. He was sentenced to serve 15 days in the Grundy County Detention Center, with credit given for 15 days served. He was fined $150 and $120.50 costs and is to pay $150 to the Law Enforcement Restitution Fund. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and the court outlined the procedure for the defendant to obtain his personal property.
Juan J. Gallegos, Jr., Spickard, pleaded guilty to tampering with a utility meter, a class A misdemeanor, and was fined $100, $120.50 costs, $100 to the Law Enforcement Restitution Fund, $402.06 restitution and a $75 administrative fee to the prosecutor’s office.
Albert L. Hines, Trenton, pleaded guilty to a class B misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated and was fined $300. He is also to pay $120.50 costs, $100 to the Law Enforcement Restitution Fund and $98 recoupment of funds to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Hines also pleaded guilty to not wearing a seat belt and was fined $10 and pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $60.50 and $74.50 costs
Having warrants issued after failing to appear in court were Steven J. Antonopoulos, Independence, speeding; Jakobi N. Welch, Jamesport, speeding and failing to register a motor vehicle; and Tanner J. Sims, Bethany, failing to register a motor vehicle.
