Donald Dee Corbin, an 83-year-old resident of Bethany, died on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, in Springfield.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020 at Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany. Military rites will follow at the funeral home.
There will be no visitation.
Mr. Corbin was born on June 28, 1936 in Harrison County, the son of Alvie and Grace Clutter Corbin.
He was married on Dec. 19, 1954 to Marilyn Wilford, who preceded him in death on Feb. 4, 1987. He was then married in 1988 to Georgia Slagle, who preceded him in death on Jan. 1, 2016.
He was retired after serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, then became an auto mechanic vocational teacher.
Survivors include his daughters, Cheryl (Joe) Claybrook of Kansas City and Carrie (Curtis) Cavender of Springfield; three grandchildren, Schuyler (Ashley) Cavender, Madisen (Kris) Walden and Joey (Kristi) Claybrook; and two great-grandchildren, Eli and Benjamin Claybrook.
In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by his parents and a sister and brother-in-law, Delana and Robert St. John.
