Edna M. Thompson, a 93-year-old resident of East Moline, IL, died on Monday, December 16, 2019 at Hope Creek Care Center in East Moline.
A celebration of life will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020 at East End Club in Moline, IL. Private graveside services will be at a later date at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
Mrs. Thompson was born on May 6, 1926 in Trenton, he daughter of Loren and Clara Mitts Sharp. She was married on Jan. 28, 1951 in Moline to John Edwin Thompson, who preceded her in death on March 18, 2006.
She graduated from Trenton High School in 1944 and worked at Iowa Bearing Company in Davenport, IA. She was a member of Elks Club, the First Baptist Church at Trenton and the First Baptist Church at Moline. She enjoyed volunteering, knitting, playing board games and spending time with family, especially with her great-grandson Augie Cross.
Survivors include her children, Vern Thompson, Don (Janine) Thompson and Susie (Steve) Thompson Archer, all of Moline; grandchildren, Dylan (Sara) Cross, Alan (Sara) Cross, Brooke (Chris) Banker, Brittney (Rick) Siam, Kayley Chapman and Curtis Thompson; great-grandchildren, Carver and Kayden Banker, Ava and Connor Cross; and her best buddy, Augie Cross.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Leo; and brother, Marvin.
Memorials may be made to First Tee of the Quad Cities at 2430 River Dr. in Moline, IL.
