Karen Dawn McLin, a 74-year-old resident of Chillicothe, died on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020 at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. A general visitation will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 20, 2020 at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Burial will be held at the Welsh Cemetery at Dawn.
Mrs. McLin was born on June 11, 1945 in Milford, IA, the daughter of Clayton “Bill” and Margaret Lamm Bell. She graduated from Trenton High School in 1963.
She was married at Chillicothe on Dec. 31, 1964 to Jerry McLin, who survives of the home. She worked as a service associate at Walmart and sewed gloves for the Lambert Glove Co. She enjoyed reading, cooking, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid fan of Southwest Livingston athletics.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Mike McLin and his wife, Jennifer of Chillicothe; one daughter, Anne Anderson and her husband, Mark of Dawn; three grandchildren, Marley Anderson, Mack Anderson and Morgan Anderson; two brothers, Carol Bell and his wife, Elaine of Scottsdale, AZ and Jack Bell and his wife, Connie of Burlington, IA; three sisters, Sandi Walker and her husband, David of Chillicothe, Wanda Robinson and her husband, Larry of Trenton and Marvel Bell of Worthington, MN: and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Tye Anderson; and one sister, Barbara Hamilton.
