TMS Spelling Bee Winners Named

Trenton Middle School held its spelling bee on Wednesday with winners and alternates selected to compete in the Grundy County Spelling Bee at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30 in the the TMS Media Center. The fifth grade winner was Graeme Sager with the word “nervous.” Colton Ledbetter was the fifth grade runner-up and the alternate is Micah Clear. Titus Kottwitz was the sixth grade champion, spelling the word “trembling.” Brianna Wheelbarger was the sxith grade runner-up and Garrison Otto is the alternate. The winning word in the seventh grade, “scattering,” was spelled by Josh Truitt. Colton Hammond was the seventh grade runner-up and Shay Turner is the alternate. Zane Michael won the eighth grade title with the word “obstacles.” Ava Frazier was the runner-up and Shayla Chapman is the alternate.
