Jerry Duane Keith, a 79-year-old resident of Coffeyville, KS, died on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020 at Jane Phillips Hospital in Bartlesville, OK.
Funeral services for Mr. Keith were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan, 13, 2020 at First Southern Baptist Church in Coffeyville, Kansas. Burial will be at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2019 in Cat Creek Cemetery at Brimson, under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory of Coffeyville.
Mr. Keith was born at Linneus on Aug. 5, 1940, the son of Ray and Sarah Alice Gipson Keith. He graduated from Jamesport High School. He was married on May 27, 1962 to Bonita Joy Murphy. He was a Union Pacific Railroad engineer for 43 years and enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling the United States, camping with his family and visiting his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Bonita of the home; two sons, David of McAlester, OK and Adam of Ft. Davis, TX; a daughter, Ann Taggart of Copan, OK; seven grandchildren, Stormy, Jeremy, Mitch, Isaac, Taylor, Everett and Matthew; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Lynch of Trenton and Bonnie Otto Gumm; and three sisters-in-law in this area, Glenda Faye Keith and Pat Hessing of Trenton and Judith (Steven) Urich of Humphreys.
Mr. Keith was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dale and Wilburn Keith; and one sister, Grace Hudspeth.
