Trenton will be represented by 25 students in the Grand River Conference All-Conference middle school and high school bands, which will perform on Saturday, Feb. 1 at South Harrison High School in Bethany.
Trenton Middle School will have seven students in the middle school band, which will be under the direction of band directors from the GRC. There will be 18 Trenton High School students in the high school band, which will be directed by Dr. Nathan Gray from Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph.
TMS students selected for the band include eighth grader Shayla Chapman, first chair clarinet; eighth grader Cade Claycomb, third chair alto saxophone; eighth grader Victor Markell, second chair trombone; eighth grader Cayden Spears, third chair tuba; eighth grader Collin Taylor, seventh chair percussion; seventh grade Caleb Campbell, seventh chair trombone; and seventh grader Brodie Burgess, second alternate trombone.
THS students chosen for the band were senior Ashley Johnson, second chair tenor saxophone; senior Mackenzie Klinginsmith, third chair clarinet; senior Ann Airey, eighth chair trombone; junior Kayleigh Snuffer, ninth chair flute; junior Ashley Johnson, 12th chair clarinet; sophomore Mari Atup, second chair flute; sophomore Trager Leeper, first chair trumpet; freshman Serenity Marsh, eighth chair clarinet; freshman Kayleigh Streett, 15th chair clarinet; freshman Adriana Lawrence, 19th chair clarinet; freshman Connor Campbell, first chair bass clarinet; freshman Trent Villacampa, fourth chair trumpet; freshman Jesse Ledbetter, fifth chair trumpet; freshman Nick Smith, first alternate baritone; freshman Lydia Leininger, first chair percussion; freshman Tucker Otto, third chair percussion; freshman Dylan Smith, fourth chair percussion; and freshman Haley Shultz, second alternate percussion.
