Jan 7, 2020 | Headline News

A new lease was approved regarding use of the Mercer County Fair building during a meeting of the Princeton City Council on Monday night.
City Clerk Danette Snapp said a new lease was drawn up after the Mercer County Fair Board constructed a new addition to the building, with the city providing the funding. The fair board will be paying back the money to the city at a cost of $900 per year over a nine-year period.
The council also discussed the possibility of hiring part-time help to take care of summer mowing work, but no action was taken.
The next meeting of the council will be at 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 3 at the Princeton City Hall.
