NCMC Signs Golden

Dec 30, 2019 | Golf, Sports & Recreation

The North Central Missouri College women’s golf program has signed Sara Golden, a senior at Carthage High School. Golden was a varsity golfer all four years of high school and was part of the all-conference and all-district team for three years while also qualifying for sectionals. As a senior, she also qualified for the Class 2 state tournament, placing 56th. Her low 18-hole round during her prep career was a 77.
In addition to her abilities on the course, Golden also carried a 3.7 GPA, played basketball and ran track. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and the National Society of High School Scholars.
“Sara is a great signing for our program,” NCMC coach Daniel Cordray said. “She is a great all-round athlete that is now going to be focusing on golf and I see tremendous upside in her talents. She will come in and be a great leader on our team. Through watching her on the course and with talking with her coaches, Sara has the tools to compete very well at our level. I’m excited to have her on campus this coming fall to see her talents grow on and off the course.”
