Felony charges of driving while intoxicated have been filed against a Trenton man who is being charged as an aggravated offender.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 63-year-old Raul R. Barraza was arrested on Dec. 21 and is accused of operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He allegedly had .15 of 1 percent or more by weight of alcohol in his blood at the time of his arrest. Barraza has three prior convictions for driving while intoxicated and has been charged with a class D felony. His bond was set at $5,000 and he remains in the Grundy County Detention Center, with a court date of Jan. 14.
