Several area churches have announced plans to hold services for the Christmas season.
Dockery Chapel United Methodist Church – Blue Christmas worship service at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21; Dec. 22 worship service will be at 11 a.m. with a Christmas dinner to follow; Christmas Eve candelight service and communion at 9 p.m.
First Baptist Church at Trenton – Children’s Christmas Program, “How the Grouch Found Christmas,” at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22; Christmas Eve candlelight service at 5 p.m.
First Christian Church of Trenton – Christmas Eve candlelight service, music and communion at 5:30 p.m.
Galt Christian Church – Christmas Eve candlelight service and communion at 6 p.m.
Grundy Center Methodist Church – Christmas program at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22; Christmas Eve candlelight service at 9 p.m.
Hodge Presbyterian Church – Hodge Choir Candlelight Service, “Message of Hope,” at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22; Christmas Eve services at 6 and 11 p.m.
St. Joseph’s Catholic Church – Christmas Eve mass with carols at 5 p.m.; Christmas Day mass at 8:30 a.m.
St. Philip’s Episcopal Church – Christmas Eve service with live music (dulcimer and penny whistle) at 4:30 p.m.
Tenth Street Baptist Church – Children’s program during the morning worship service on Sunday Dec. 22; Christmas Eve candlelight service at 6 p.m.
Wesley United Methodist Church – Christmas Cantata and March to the Manger, 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22; Christmas Eve come and go communion from 5 to 6:45 p.m., candlelight service at 7 p.m.
