No injuries were reported in a recent accident at the intersection of Oklahoma Avenue and 16th Street.
According to Trenton Police Officer Kami Nelson’s accident report, the mishap occurred Dec. 2 when Taya L. Ray of Trenton, the driver of a sport utility vehicle, was exiting the Trenton High School parking lot Her vision was obstructed by the sun due to the direction she was facing. A truck driven by Michael W. Hughs, also of Trenton, was making a right turn from East 16th Street onto Oklahoma Avenue. Due to her view being obstructed, Mrs. Ray did not see that Hughs was turning and made a left turn, striking the truck and causing damage to the passenger side of the truck bed.
No tickets were issued in the mishap.
