Lois Annibel Kirkpatrick Hagan, a 97-year-old resident of Excelsior Springs, died at 5:33 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019 at the Valley Manor Nursing Home in Excelsior Springs.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019 at Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton. Inurnment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
A family visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the mortuary.
Mrs. Hagan was born on Nov. 1, 1922, west of Saline, the daughter of Glen Stewart and Elva Craig Kirkpatrick. She attended Keller School in Mercer County. She and her husband, Ferril farmed in Mercer County until 1944, when they moved to the Forks of the River, north of Trenton. She was involved with the area extension club and was a volunteer Grey Lady for Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton. Her hobbies included flowers, gardening and baking. She also enjoyed many trips with her family in the U.S. and Canada.
She was a member of the Hatton Chapel Methodist Church and also the First Assembly of God, where she was involved with women’s missions.
She was married on Aug. 12, 1939 to Ferril Hagan, who preceded her in death on Oct. 13, 2016.
Her survivors include her daughter, Diana Scott and her husband, Alan of Kearney; three grandchildren, Lori Ann Hagan Jarrett and her husband, Jeff, Stephanie Scott Wachob and her husband, John and Timothy Scott; and six great-grandchildren, Josh and Elizabeth Jarrett, Alexis, Laura and Nikki Hagan and Eli Wachob.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother and his wife, Noel Dean and Ruth Kirkpatrick; and one son, Robert Hagan.
Memorials are suggested to the Bethel Church of Mercer County. They may be left at or mailed to the mortuary.
