Lions Club Hears About Shop With A Cop

The Trenton Lions Club met on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at the First Christian Church Fellowship Hall.
President Seth Cox led the pledge to the flag, followed by prayer by Rev. Steve Martin. George Moore served as “tail twister.”
Trenton Police Lt. Larry Smith spoke on the “Shop with a Cop” program hosted by the Trenton Police Department. The Division of Family Services supplies the TPD with the names of 10 children along with their Christmas gift lists. Following a pizza party, each child is presented a gift by Santa Claus. The “Shop with a Cop” celebration will be held Thursday, Dec. 13 at the First Assembly of God Church.
Jim Bush provided information on the free theater showing of “The Star.” Open to persons of all ages, Trenton Cinema will also provide concessions at reduced prices, a surprise for every child who attends and a visit from Santa. This event will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21.
The final gathering of Trenton Lions Club for 2019 will be the Christmas dinner at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10. The meal will be served in the fellowship hall of the First Christian Church.
The club’s next regular meeting will be at noon on Tuesday, Jan. 7.
