North Central Missouri College will be offering the public two continuing education courses during the month of November.
“Tips and Tricks for Traveling in Developing Countries” will be presented by NCMC Political Science Instructor Dr. Sterling Recker. The class will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 12 in Geyer Hall 208.Participants will learn about pre-trip planning, travel insurance, dealing with culture shock, personal security, managing money while overseas, setting up cell phones and computers nd much more. The cost is $15 and participants must register by Monday, Nov. 11.
“Defense Against Scammers” will be presented by Robert Wimer. The class will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Nov. 18 in Geyer Hall 203. Participants will learn the necessary tools to avoid and defend against scams both online and off. The cost is $15 and participants must register by Friday, Nov. 15.
