Iriscelene Cleo Fair Lane, an 89-year-old resident of Princeton, died on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019 at St. Joseph.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, 2019 at Roberson Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial was in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery at Princeton.
Ms. Lane was born on Aug. 23, 1930 in Rifle, CO, the daughter of Cleo Shelton and Marjorie Overton Fair. She graduated in 1949 from Princeton High School. She was married in Mercer County on Jan. 17, 1970 to John Lane, who preceded her in death.
She worked at the Axtell Hospital for several years until it closed and also worked as a waitress at Havens Service Station and at the Mercer County meal site. She was a member of the Princeton Assembly of God Church and had resided at Pearl’s II in Princeton for the last two years.
She enjoyed collecting cow figurines and bells, clothes, jewelry and shoes.
She is survived by two sons, Jim (Susan) Lane of Leon, IA and Joe (companion, Karen) Lane of Princeton; a daughter, Linda White of Humphreys; seven grandchildren, James, Lane and Becky (Patrick) Smith, Jerry (Jennifer) White, Michelle Curl, Michael White, Kari Womack and Chris Miller; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Monita Fair; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Gene and Bill Fair; a sister, Wilma McCulley; and a nephew, Earl Dean Fair.
