
Members of the Helping Hands 4-H Club, pictured above, collected for United Way following their meeting on Oct. 9. There were 14 members, five leaders and eight guests present for the meeting, which was called to order by Kaci Persell, Members discussed enrollment and how to collect for United Way. Mary Ellen Johnson installed new officers and greeted new members with a cookie theme. The new officers are Kaci Persell, president; Gracyn Rongey, vice president; Levi Johnson, treasurer; Remi Olmstead, secretary; Henry, Anne and Mae Lasley, reporters; Owen Sharp, historian; Ross and Emmaleigh Maloney, pledge leaders; Landon and Orren Olmstead, recreation leaders; and Seth Doolittle, roll call. Latorrie and Levi Johnson helped members work on the club’s window at High Maintenance Salon in recognition of 4-H Week and the Missouri Day Festival. The next meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 13 at the First Christian Church. Each family is to bring a new pair of gloves or a new hat. The Maloney family will provide snacks and the Johnson family will provide drinks.
