On Monday, the Trenton High School girls golf team was at the Grand River Conference Tournament at the Veteran’s Memorial Golf Course in Cameron. Trenton shot a team score of 499, good for third place at the event. Gallatin won the conference title with a mark of 483 and Albany was runner-up, missing the top spot by a single stroke at 484.
Maci Henson and Oakley Madden led Trenton, each earning All-GRC honors for the second consecutive year.
Henson was third overall with a score of 105. She had a consistent day, carding a 52 on the front nine and a 53 on the back to reach her total.
Madden, meanwhile, was fourth individually at the tournament. She shot a 51 on the front nine and finished up with a back-nine 56 to reach her 18-hole total.
Josie Chumbley shot a 142 behind Henson and Madden and Mari Atup rounded out the team total with a score of 145.
