Persons needing to call the OATS bus for transportation will still be able to call the local office, at least for the time being.
Beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 1, all calls to schedule a ride on the OATS bus are to be directed to the regional office in St. Joseph. A person in the St. Joseph office said on Monday that additional phone lines to take calls had not yet been installed and it was decided to continue having calls accepted at local offices until the line installation is completed. However, OATS is encouraging persons to call the St. Joseph office to become familiar with using that telephone number.
