No injuries were reported in an accident investigated Friday afternoon at the intersection of East Ninth Street and Oklahoma Avenue.
According to Trenton Police Det. Jerry Smith’s accident report, the mishap occurred when a car driven by Bobby J. Holmes, Jr., was westbound on East Ninth Street, while a car driven by Kristena L. Rickerson of Trenton was eastbound on East Ninth Street. Ms. Rickerson attempted to make a left turn to go northbound on Oklahoma Avenue and turned left into the path of Holmes’ car. Holmes was unable to avoid Ms. Rickerson’s vehicle and sideswiped it on the right rear corner. There was minor to moderate damage to both vehicles.
Ms. Rickerson was ticketed for careless and imprudent driving by failing to yield to oncoming traffic.
