Funeral services for Don Harold Ricketts will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept.15, 2019 at the Tindall Christian Church.
Burial will follow in South Evans Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until service time at the church. Open visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14 at Slater-Neal Funeral Home of Trenton.
Mr. Ricketts, an 83-year-old Trenton resident, died at 7:44 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019 at his home, where he was surrounded by family.
Mr. Ricketts was born on Nov. 21, 1935 in Trenton, the son of Carl Edward and Nola Jane Sibbit Ricketts. He attended Tindall grade school, graduated from Trenton High School and attended Trenton Junior College.
He was married on June 17, 1955 at the Tindall Christian Church to Darlie Moore.
Me. Ricketts was a farmer as well as a carpenter. He also worked for over 20 years for Modine Manufacturing as a quality control inspector, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening and was active with the Boy Scouts and the FFA. He was a member of the Tindall Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Darlie of the home; two sons, Stephen Ricketts and his wife, Marilyn of Edgerton and Kenneth Ricketts and his wife, Tonna of Trenton; a daughter, Leigh Ann McCulloch and her husband, Ray of Overland Park, KS; grandchildren, April Klein and her significant other, Craig Fisher of Kansas City, Chad Ricketts and his wife, Kaleena of Miller, Annie Budimlija and her husband, Seth of Shawnee, KS, Carl Ricketts and his wife, Jamie of Trenton, Cara McClellan and her husband, Kipp of Chula, Corey Springer and his wife, Cindy of Basehor, KS, Kaleb Springer and his wife, Amanda of Tucson, AZ and Caitlyn Springer; 14 great- grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Billy Bob Ricketts; two brothers Doyle and Wayne Ricketts; and two great-grandchildren Korban Budimlija and Kadyn McClellan.
Memorial donations are suggested to South Evans Cemetery and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
