Rissler Elementary School has named its “Terrific Kids” for the month of September, with the students honored for demonstrating the character trait of “responsiblity.” The award recognizes a different character trait each month and is sponsored by the Trenton Kiwanis Club and Hardees of Trenton. Those recognized include, from left, front row, kindergarten students Clare Spencer, Timberlyn Whorton, Emberlyn Foster, Elizabeth Harris and Tyson Hunter; first graders Jalia Webb, Avery Gamet, Willow Jones, Rhedyn Foster and Kyndalynn Breazeale; second row, second graders Norah King, Lillyann Lorenz, Alexis Suarez and Hudson Swank; third graders Kennedy Cross, Landry Shippen, Thomas Cunningham and Rozalea Webb; back row, Dave Woodson, representing the Trenton Kiwanis Club; and fourth graders Morgan Smith, Lilliahna Sosa, Malachi Kottwitz and Ryan Gott. The students were scheduled to complete a service project with Trenton Mayor Linda Crooks on Sept. 11.
