Roy D. Reim, a 75-year-old resident of Camdenton and Flagler Beach, FL, died at 5:24 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019 at Palm Coast, FL.
No services are planned at this time. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family.
Mr. Reim was born on June 14, 1944 at Douglas, OK, the son of Erick and Justa Hays Reim. He was a 1962 graduate of Galt High School and 1971 graduate of Northwestern State College in Alva, OK. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army, and was deployed to Vietnam.
Roy was married on June 1, 1969 to DeEtta Allen and the couple celebrated 50 years of marriage and being best friends. He retired from the United States Postal Service at Milan in 2009 as a rural mail carrier. He and his wife spent their retirement years at Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri and Flagler Beach. Roy loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed many hours fishing at the lake and surf fishing in Florida. He and Dee cherish their many retirement friends. He loved to visit and always had a humorous story to tell. He had a truly blessed life and retirement.
He is survived by his wife DeEtta of Camdenton and Flagler Beach; a son, Scott Reim of Chillicothe; a daughter, Angela Reim Childs of Columbia; a granddaughter, Paige Childs of Memphis, TN and her father, Craig Childs of Centralia; two brothers, Raymond Reim of Meno, OK and Gary Reim of Centerville, IA; two sisters, Doris Key of Tulsa, OK and Janice Ellis of Trenton; and his mother-in-law, Joan Allen of Chillicothe.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Leon, Loyd Lee and John Reim; two sisters, Donna Reim and Rita Reim Dickerson; and his father-in-law, Bob Allen.
