The Spickard Board of Aldermen took action on two contracts during a special meeting on Wednesday night, Aug. 28 at Spickard City Hall.
According to information provided by City Clerk Amy Chapman, the board approved a new contract with the Spickard Special Road District, requiring the cost of city street lights be paid before any excess district funds are distributed. The contract is being sent by certified mail to the road district board, asking for members to respond within 10 days.
Aldermen also voted to terminate its contract with Utility Service, with notice to be sent to the company by certified mail.
