Trenton High School alumni will be returning home to celebrate class reunions during the annual THS Alumni Weekend celebration set for Thursday, Aug. 29 through Sunday, Sept. 1.
A number of activities are planned, beginning on Thursday with the “Welcome Home Alums” celebration and unveiling of decorated windows in the downtown area. Music and food are also scheduled to be featured that evening.
The all-alumni mixer will kick off Friday’s schedule. Hosted by the THS Class of 1965, the mixer will be held at the Riverside Country Club, beginning at 6 p.m. and is open to all alumni and friends. Light snacks will be provided and there will be a cash bar available.
For football fans, the THS Bulldogs will be holding their season opener at home on Friday night. Trenton will take on Lathrop in a 7 o’clock matchup at C.F. Russell Stadium.
The all-alumni open house and registration takes place at the THS commons on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Alumni are invited to stop by and meet with members from other classes who will be gathering and visiting. The THS Class of 1970 will be hosting the event.
Round-robin tennis competition will take place at the THS courts, beginning at 9 a.m. Randall Hutchinson and Mitch Dougan are in charge of the event, which is open to the public.
The all-alumni dance will be at the Black Silo Winery from 9 p.m. to midnight featuring the band Centerline.
Sunday’s schedule features the all-alumni brunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the THS commons, hosted by the THS Class of 1975. There will be a $7 charge to cover food costs. All alumni are invited to attend.
There will also be golfing all weekend at the Riverside Country Club. Those participating will be required to pay the greens fee.

Class of 1951 – noon luncheon at Tenth Street Baptist Church.
Class of 1952 – noon luncheon at Dino’s Diner.
Class of 1953 – 11:30 a.m. luncheon at Royal Inn Pizza.
Class of 1954 – noon luncheon at Pizza Hut.
Class of 1959 – 1 p.m. class gathering at Moberly Park enclosed shelterhouse, bring appetizer.
Class of 1961 – 2:15 to 5 p.m. class reunion at Royal Inn Pizza.
Class of 1963 – 5 p.m. meal at Royal Inn Pizza.
Class of 1964 – 5 p.m. class social, followed by a 6 p.m. dinner in the Sugg Room of the Ketcham Community Center.
Class of 1969 – noon luncheon at Cross Hall.
Class of 1974 – 10 a.m. brunch at Dino’s; 5 p.m. social and dinner at The Space.
Class of 1979 – 11 a.m. class luncheon and get-together at 2003 Tower St.
Class of 1994 – class BBQ at home of Brandon and Tammie Coon Spencer.
Class of 1999 – class event
Class of 2014 – 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. reunion in Sugg Room of Ketcham Community Center with noon catered luncheon.
A story about the alumni event will appear in the Wednesday, Sept. 4 edition of the Republican-Times. Classes wanting to include their information in that story are asked to leave their information at the newspaper over the Labor Day weekend or bring it into the office no later than 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
