Bright Futures Trenton Helps Students Get Ready For School

Aug 8, 2019 | Headline News

Bright Futures Trenton made getting students ready for school a lot easier with their annual “Back to School Event” on Tuesday, Aug. 7. Local volunteers, organizations and churches came together to assist Trenton R-9 parents and students needing help in getting ready for the new school year. Backpacks, school supplies, clothing and shoes were just some of the items provided to the students, who were also able to get a free haircut, thanks to several local stylists who volunteered their afternoon to help with that effort. In addition, the Grundy County Health Department held a health fair for all children in Grundy County and Hy-Vee provided an evening meal at Moberly park for students and their families prior to an evening free swim at the Trenton Family Aquatic Center, provided by the health department.
