NCM Fair Sheep Show Winners Announced

There were 46 entries in the North Central Missouri Fair Sheep Show held Friday morning, with six in the peewee class.
The champions were picked shortly before lunch and included the Supreme Champion Ewe, a Cross-Bred exhibited by Galt resident Lexa Stonger, and the Supreme Champion Ram, a South Down, which was exhibited by Avery Baxter, a resident of Chillicothe. The supreme champion market lamb, a Cross-Bred, was exhibited by Harlee Beck of Chillicothe.
Reserve champions included reserve champion ram, a Dorset, exhibited by Trenton resident Ayra Meeker; the reserve champion ewe, a Cross-Bred, which was shown by Kendra Betz of Galt. In the market class, the reserve champion animal was a Speckled exhibited by Riley Jones of Lucerne.
There were three showmanship classes, with Jaecy Heisey of Polo earning first place in the 8 to 10 years category and Lexa Stonger taking first in the 11 to 14 years division. Senior showmanship honors, for those age 15 and over, went to Kendra Betz.

Market Lambs: Natural – Dillon Jones, Lucerne, champion; Speckled – Riley Jones, champion, Kale Batson, Trenton, reserve; Suffolk – Jaidan Batson, Albany, champion, Kolton Schurke, Princeton, reserve; Tunis – Tessa Link, Meadville, champion; Cross-Bred – Harlee Beck, champion, Kendra Betz, reserve.
