Duane and Mary Maxine Elliott Christy will celebrate their 75th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019 with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Humphreys Community Center. The couple were married on Aug. 10, 1944 in Everett, WA. After a long train ride by a beautiful teenage girl to meet her World War II seaman, they went to the courthouse with friends to start their lives together as husband and wife. They have two sons, Larry and his wife, Donna and Gary and his wife, Barbara; five grandchildren; five step-granddaughters; 13 great-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-granddaughter.
