The Spickard R-2 Board of Education met on Monday night, taking care of several matters.
The board agreed to participate in a district-paid Missouri Association of School Administrators mentoring program at a cost of $300. The program works with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to provide support to first-year superintendents with certifications. An amendment was made to the dress code of the faculty handbook, but no changes were made to the student handbook. A business account with Amazon was approved and Amanda Mitchell was selected as the school photographer.
The annual tax levy hearing was set for 5:50 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 19, prior to the regular monthly board meeting.
