R-6 District Sets Tax Levy Hearing

The Pleasant View R-6 School District will hold its public tax rate hearing at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13 at the school.
The district is proposing to set its tax rate at $4.8094 on the $100 assessed valuation, which is estimated to raise approximately $393,009 in tax revenues. The total tax to be received is based on an assessed valuation of $8,234,738, which is up $48,068 from a year ago.
Of the revenue total, the district is anticipated to receive $55,803 in new revenue derived directly from new construction and improvements.
