Rose Welsh

Rose Marie Hunemuller Welsh, a 79-year-old resident of Trenton and formerly of Guttenberg, IA, died on Sunday June 30, 2019, at Luther Manor Grand Meadows Living Center in Dubuque, IA.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 5, 2019 at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home in Guttenberg. Burial will be in the Guttenberg City Cemetery.
A family visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Welsh was born on Nov. 8, 1939 in Bremer County, IA, the daughter of Donald and Pearl Bathke Hunemuller. She was married on June 16, 1956 in Nashua, IA to William Laverne “Bill” Welsh, who preceded her in death in 2012. She worked in various manufacturing positions in Guttenberg, which led her to a union president position. Following retirement, the couple moved to Trenton, where she was a member and former president of the board of directors of the Leisure Lake Association. She was also was a long-time active member of the RSVP in Trenton. She enjoyed her time at the lake with all her friends and the watching the birds from her deck.
Mrs. Welsh is survived by three children, Bill and Diane Welsh of Cedar Rapids, IA, Don Welsh of Clinton, IA and Duke and Vickie Welsh Eppler of Dickeyville, WI; grandchildren, Brook and Alissa Welsh Monica of Houston, TX, Will Welsh of Minneapolis, MN Chris Welsh of Cedar Rapids, Nicholas and Theresa Reardon of Guttenberg, Valarie Reardon of Epworth, IA, Matt and Carrie Eppler Bock of Algonquin, IL, JC and Kristi Eppler Henry of Dubuque and Jennifer, Nicole and Jason Welsh; great-grandchildren, Megan Reardon, Joe Johnson, Alex and Andrue Henry, Katelyn, Justin and Hunter Foshee and Brandon Fernandes; a sister, Carolyn Dawson; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Wendy Welsh; and one sibling, Rebecca Hunemuller.
Memorials are suggested to the Rose Welsh Leisure Lake Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home at 207 S. First St., Guttenberg, IA 52052.
