
The Trenton Rotary Club recognized six new Paul Harris recipients and installed a new president at a dinner meeting on Thursday night, June 27. Receiving their Paul Harris pins and certificates were, from left, Tim Michael, Kim Washburn, Dr. David Ryan and Connie Hoffman. Not pictured were Don Purkapile and Dan Wiebers. Michael was also installed as the new club president and will begin his duties on July 1. He replaces Dr. Lenny Klaver, who served during the 2018-19 club year. It was announced that the club has received a $10,500 Rotary District Grant, which will be used by the local club to construct a storage area at Rissler Elementary School for the Bright Futures Trenton program. The local club will also be making a $3,500 contribution to the project, which will include installation of storage units, a laundry facility and a shower area. The next meeting of the Rotary Club will be on Thursday, July 8.
