James Robert “Jim” Ingraham, a 68-year-old former Trenton and Chillicothe resident, died at 12:48 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2019 at Valley Manor and Rehab Center in Excelsior Springs due to complications from diabetes.
The body was cremated under the direction of Slater-Neal Funeral Home of Trenton.
The family is having a graveside inurnment at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Mt. Zion Cemetery, south of Humphreys.
Mr. Ingraham was born on Jan. 14, 1951 at Trenton, the son of Donald and Mary Lou “Todd” Ingraham. He graduated from Laredo High School in the final class of 1969. He attended Northwest Missouri State University and East Texas State University. After residing in Dallas, TX, he returned to Missouri, starting an antique business and traveling to various states. He also was employed several years at Premium Standard Farms in Milan. Besides his passion for primitive country antiques, he enjoyed playing the piano and serving at the Mt. Zion Christian Church for years until he developed diabetic neuropathy.
He is survived by a brother, Charles Ingraham and his wife, Cheryl of Lathrop; their children, Jason of Kansas City,, Jeremy of Burlington Junction and Jenna Ingraham of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and three great-nephews and a great-niece, Duke, Wyatt, Evan and Lauren.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 2005 and his father in 2010.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Main Street Chillicothe Murals Project or the Mt. Zion Cemetery Association.
