Donations continue to be collected for the community fireworks display scheduled for Thursday, July 4.
The cost of the display is $4,000 and is being paid for solely by donations made by local business, organizations and individuals. A committee comprised of community members has been working to collect donations to help pay for the event, which will be held in the grassy area near the Rock Barn.
Those wanting to make a donation can leave donations at cannisters at the Hy-Vee Store, Hy-Vee Wine and Spirits, Landes BP and Main Stop as well as with Diane Lowrey at the Trenton Republican-Times newspaper office. Donations can also be left at or mailed to the Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce office at 611 Ninth St. Checks should include “fireworks” in the memo line.
