Although the Chalk Walk Art event was cancelled due to the rain, the downtown Car Cruise went on as scheduled on Friday evening. Cars and trucks lined Main Street from Five Points to 12th Street, allowing the public to get a peek at the vehicles on display. The group then “cruised” to Crowder State Park, where they visited Camp Rainbow before returning downtown. Students at the Superstars Dance Studio also danced to some 1950s and 1960s music in a performance held at the Sesquicentennial Park and enjoyed by a large crowd of parents, grandparents and members of the public.
