The Grundy County Nursing Home District Board of Directors met on Tuesday, June 18, taking care of several items.
According to information provided by Sunnyview Nursing Home and Apartments Administrator Donita Youtsey, the board approved the 2019-20 budget, which shows revenues exceeding expenditures by $344. Projected revenues are listed at $5,611,829 while expenditures are estimated at $5,611,485. Revenues include the new room rates approved by the board at its May meeting.
The board accepted the hay bid of $7 per bale from Jeremy Chambers. Discussion was also continued regarding work on energy projects involving the upgrade of the boiler to a new HVAC system as well as window replacement.
Mrs. Youtsey announced that an open house would be held at the nursing home on Wednesday, July 10 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and that the Community Blood Center would bring its bloodmobile to the facility for a blood drive on June 26 from 2 to 6 p.m.
An executive session was held to approve the closed meeting minutes of May 28.
The next meeting of the board will take place at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16 in the conference room of the administrator’s office.
