Former Trenton resident David Tanquary, 88, died on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, in Lenexa, KS.
Mr. Tanquary was born on July 20, 1930 at home in Kansas City, the son of Ella and Harry Tanquary. He served as director of Head Start Green Hills from 1971 to 1981. He was active in the Rotary Club, the Trenton Acting Guild, and enjoyed promoting performing arts whenever opportunities to do so arose.
He is survived by his daughters, Holly Tanquary, Jennifer Tanquary and Sabrina (Mark) Arbuckle; his favorite grandchild, Will Arbuckle; and a niece, two nephews and their families.
David was preceded in death by his wife, Oreta; a brother; a sister; and two nieces.
Oreta and David cherished the friendships they made in Trenton, especially those with neighbors Mary Sue and John McCullough, Carmen and Greg Coon and their families.
