Alex A. Gardner, a 20-year-old resident of Trenton, died on Monday, June 17, 2019 at his home.
His body was cremated under the direction of Slater-Neal Funeral Home of Trenton. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Gardner was born on Oct. 6, 1998 at Chillicothe, the son of Stacy Neil and Jennifer Denyer Gardner. He graduated from Trenton High School. He was employed by the Grundy County-Jewett Norris Library at Trenton as a youth librarian. He loved to read and his passion was video games.
His survivors include his father, Stacy Gardner of Trenton; his mother, Jennifer Hogan of Dothan, AL; two step-brothers, John Denyer and Tyron Dickerson; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death his grandparents, Joe and Janice Denyer and Art and Marty Gardner; and one uncle, Stephen Gardner.
