The Princeton R-5 Board of Education took action on two items during a meeting on Monday night.
According to information provided by Board Secretary Christy Stockman, the board approved a quote from LifeFlight Eagle to provide family memberships to the non-profit medical helicopter program. The price will be $45 for the annual membership, which covers the employee’s household. The total estimated cost to the district is $3,000.
The board will be collecting bids to demolish property the district recently purchased at 412 Ballew St. The demolition packet can be picked up at the district office during business hours and bids are to be returned by 1 p.m. on Monday, July 8. All bidders are required to complete an on-site visit prior to submitting a quote.
An update was given regarding construction of the new maintenance/storage building. Spring weather has delayed the concrete contractor and the district is hoping construction of the footings will begin in the next 10 days.
The board reviewed the staff salary schedules and discussed raising the base salary. The schedule will be discussed at a special meeting of the board, scheduled for June 25. The board will also take action on the proposed 2019-20 school budget as well as close out the 2018-19 school year.
The next regular board meeting will be on Monday, July 8.
