Kenneth Dean Taylor, an 89-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 3:43 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Eastview Manor in Trenton.
The body was cremated under the direction of Slater-Neal Funeral Home at Trenton. A private burial of cremains will be held later in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
Mr. Taylor was born on April 10, 1930 at the farm home near McFall, the son of Thomas and Gladys Bell Taylor. He was one of nine children in the Taylor family. He spent his adult working days as a farm and ranch hand and working for several years at Crowder State Park. The family lived in Santa Rosa, McFall and Pattonsburg before moving to Trenton. He had been living at Eastview Manor since 2002.
He enjoyed long drives in the country with his polio-afflicted brother, Raymond, reminiscing about the past and happenings in their childhood. His favorite movie star was Lauren Bacall and Dolly Parton was his favorite singer. He enjoyed the North Central Missouri Fair at Trenton, wrestling matches and the “Wrestling with Bob” television show on Saturday night.
His survivors include one sister, Janice Miller of Trenton; and two brothers, Ivan Taylor and his wife, Becky of Trenton and Robert Taylor and his wife, Ruth of Laredo.
He was preceded death by his parents; one sister, Betty Taul; and four brothers Gerald Taylor, Raymond Taylor, George Taylor and Russell Taylor.
