Memorial Day Ceremonies Held At Grundy County Museum

The Grundy County Museum hosted its annual Memorial Day program on Monday with Spickard resident Ruth Ann Shipps, top photo, as guest speaker. Ms. Shipps spent 22 years in the National Guard, participating in Operation Desert Storm and Operation Desert Shield as well as deployments to Kosovo and Bosnia. Members of Joseph L. Norton VFW Post No. 919 of Trenton, bottom photo, conducted the flag ceremony. Around 50 persons attended the event, which preceded the opening of the museum for the 2019 season.
