The Grundy County Museum will host its annual Memorial Day program on Monday, May 27.
Events begin at 10 a.m. with the raising of the U.S. flag at the Baker School by members of the Joseph L. Norton VFW Post No. 919 of Trenton, followed by patriotic remarks by Ruth Ann Shipps, a 22-year military veteran who retired with the rank of sergeant first class. The museum will then open for the 2019 season and will remain open until 4:30 p.m.
