Laredo Aldermen OK Agreement With KCP&L

The Laredo Board of Aldermen held their monthly meeting on Monday, May 13.
According to information provided by City Clerk Ashley Campbell, approval was given to an ordinance renewing the city’s agreement with KCP&L for franchise taxes and to allow them to provide electric services to the city. The contract is for 20 years.
The board approved an agreement renewal with water supplier Linn-Livingston Public Water Supply District No. 3 to continue procuring extended service warranty for the telemetry equipment installed on the city’s water tower. This warranty cost is $500 annually.
The board will meet again at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, June 10.
