Baccalaureate, Awards Night, Graduation For THS Senior Class

This will be a busy week for the Trenton High School Class of 2019, which will have several events leading up to graduation ceremonies on Sunday, May 12.
The Senior Awards program will take place at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8 in the high school gym. Students will be recognized for their academic achievements with the presentation of various scholarships and honors.
Baccalaureate will be held immediately following the awards presentation and will take place at the First Baptist Church. Class members will conduct the ceremonies, which will feature newly-named Trenton High School Principal Kasey Bailey as the guest speaker. Class President Saedee Jackson will give the invocation, Isaac Harris will have the scripture reading and Salem Croy will give the devotion before the introduction of the speaker by Laura Carlson. Senior members of Gold Rush will have the special music and the prelude will be presented by Charlie Bacon, Matt Sibbit and Dylan Harris.
Graduation will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 12 in the Ketcham Community Center on the campus of North Central Missouri College. The class valedictorian and salutatorian will give remarks during the ceremony, which will also include recognition of honor graduates by THS Principal Ron Franklin. Franklin, Superintendent Dan Wiebers and Board President Doug Franklin will present diplomas to members of the senior class, who will also be congratulated by a representative from the faculty and non-certified staff as selected by the class. There will also be special music by the THS Concert Band and Gold Rush.
