Two area students have been selected to participate in the Foundation for Rural Service Youth Tour to Washington, D. C. to be held this June.
Camie Vaughn of Cainsville High School and Lola Breshears of North Harrison High School of Eagleville will be among more than 100 high school students from across the United States taking part in the youth tour. They were selected to participate by GRM Networks.
During the tour, students will learn about the legislative process and the federal agencies that regulate telecommunications. The tour will include visits to the U. S. Capitol, the Smithsonian Institution, Arlington National Cemetery and Mount Vernon.
The Foundation for Rural Service coordinates the tour.
