Trenton R-9 Board of Education member Dorothy Taul, right, attended the Missouri School Boards’ Association training held in Hermann on April 12-13. Ms. Taul, who also represents Region 2 on the MSBA Board of Directors, received training in legislative priorities, strategic planning, school improvement, high quality education, being accountable for tax payer money, behavioral risk training, safety training, teacher retention and teacher shortages. Ms. Taul is hoping to sponsor a “Grow Your Own” Club in the R-9 School District to increase interest in students in becoming public school teachers for rural Missouri.
