Trenton’s young golf team got a bit of a confidence boost on Monday as the Bulldogs scored their first win of the season in a home triangular with Putnam County and Princeton. Trenton’s team total of 240 wasn’t enough to best Putnam County, which took first in the triangular with a mark of 206, but the Bulldogs’ total bested Princeton, which rounded out the field with a score of 249.
Jake McNabb led the way for the Bulldogs, shooting a 55 and recording the team’s lone par on hole two.
Behind McNabb, Gavin Roeder navigated the course with a score of 56 and Brycin Loyd tallied a 64. Juan Garcia rounded out the team’s total with a score of 65.
Putnam County’s Jayden Wyant took home medalist honors at the event with a score of 44.
With the split, Trenton moved to 1-7 overall on the season.
