Princeton Rotary Club Hosts Youth Turkey Calling Contest, Outdoor Expo

The Princeton Rotary Club will host a youth turkey calling contest and outdoor expo on Saturday, March 16 at the Princeton Elementary School.
The turkey calling contest will highlight the event, which runs from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Registration for the turkey calling contest and an open owl calling contest will begin at 8:30 a.m. The turkey calling contest will feature age divisions for 8-and-under, 9 to 12 and 13 to 15 while the open owl calling contest will have one division for all of the age groups. There is a $5 entry fee for all divisions. First place in each division will receive $50, second place will receive $35 and third place will receive $25.
Other activities during the day include vendor tables, a silent auction and local deer mount displays and scoring. Danny Shew and Scott Roy will give presentations at 9 a.m. and 9:45 a.m., respectively. For more information, persons may call 660-635-1299 or email Matt Krohn at [email protected].
