Mark Eugene Moffitt, a 63-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 5:45 a.m. on March 5, 2019 at his home while under hospice care.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Burial will follow in the Rose Lawn Cemetery of Trenton.
A visitation is scheduled from 1 p.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
Open visitation will begin Friday morning, March 8, 2019 at Resthaven Mortuary.
Mr. Moffitt was born on Sept. 21, 1955 in Trenton, the son of Eugene Smith and Ollie Mae Thogmartin Moffitt. He graduated from Trenton High School in 1974 and later received an electrician degree. He worked 30 years at the Modine Manufacturing Company in Trenton.
He was married on April 6, 2018 in Trenton to Linda Thogmartin. He was a longtime member of the Trenton Elks Lodge and enjoyed fishing, hunting and anything outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Linda of the home; a son, Jason Moffitt and his wife, Brooke of Kansas City; a granddaughter, Ava Moffitt; a grandson, Max Moffitt; and a stepson, Clay Williams and his wife, Colleen of Trenton and three step-grandchildren Tyler and Haley Kidd and Bailey Williams, all of Trenton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Spickard Masonic Cemetery and can be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
